    Description

    Senior Proposal Manager

    Salary range $90000 to $100000

    Position Summary :

    Oversee the end-to-end bid management process, including opportunity identification, proposal development, and post-submission activities

    Essential Functions :

  • Proposal development - collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling and compliant proposals.
  • Strategic planning for proposal responses - Develop and implement strategic approaches for competitive bids, including ways to win bids, value propositions, and differentiation strategies.
  • Resource management - allocate resources effectively, work with VP of Sales, sales team, subject matter experts, and external teams, to ensure timely and high-quality proposal submissions.
  • Stakeholder engagement - Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including laboratory staff, technical, sales and executive teams.
  • Knowledge management - Take lessons learned from past proposals and share best practices across the organization to improve future proposal efforts.
  • Additional Duties :

  • Participate in weekly sales team meetings to share market knowledge.
  • Have knowledge and set forth of business goals & annual budgets.
  • Tracking all success and proposal performance through SUITECRM
  • Support Sales team(s) efforts by participating in meeting, potential presentations contributing expertise and insights to strengthen client relationships and win new business opportunities.
  • Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree or minimum of 5 years' experience in bid management, and proposal development. Proven history of successfully managing and winning complex bids and proposals in competitive markets.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Ability to manage projects and effective timelines, prioritize tasks, manage deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate proposal requirements, deadlines to all levels of business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to having accurate spelling, punctuation and grammar on all communication and proposal responses.
  • Ability to ask and negotiate contract terms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with inter and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive results.
  • Training Plan :

  • Orientation and Onboarding (Week 1)
  • Technical Training (Week 2)
  • Proposal Process Training (Week 3)
  • Internal Stakeholder engagement (Week 4)
  • Ongoing Development (Week 5 and Ongoing)
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Light to moderate physical effort (lift / carry up to 25 lbs.) -Heavier weights with assistance.
  • Sitting & standing for extended periods of time
  • Repetitive motions and / or prolonged computer use
  • Working at a fast pace, subject to many interruptions and both physical and mental stress
