Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant with primary care, vascular care, and wound care experience, to join our very busy vascular office. In this position, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients. In this role, you will triage patients for the Providers by obtaining height and weight of patients, vital signs, documenting assessment of upper and lower extremities, obtaining and updating medications, medical and surgical history. You will be responsible for learning and performing various wound care treatments and lab draws. You will assist and work closely along side all providers and physician. Wound care experience is required. You will be required to do virtual visits with our satellite office in Albany. You may also be required to travel to our Albany office one day a week.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide ongoing patient information to the clinical team during patient visits which includes but is not limited to obtaining and monitoring vital signs, documenting and updating medications, surgical history and medical history.
- Preparation and cleaning of exam rooms after each patient
- Stock exam rooms at end of each day
- Assist with patient care during and following vascular procedures
- Any wound care prescribed to the patient by the providers which includes but is not limited to wound measurements, unna boots, cast applications, and leg/arm wraps
- Gather patient clinical information and scheduling of surgical procedures including patient assessment, consents, orders and patient history
- Call in and/or fax prescription refills to pharmacies
- Returning phones calls to patients or physician office
- Setting up Home Health visits and obtaining/faxing orders
- Measure patients for correct size compression hose
- Drawing labs and entering information into lab system
- Request medical records and/or appointments from other medical offices
- May have to perform general office duties including but not limited to scheduling appointments and answering phones
- Keep clear and accurate patient medical records
- Assist in maintaining inventory count
- Communicate with dialysis facilities, physician offices, nursing homes and other clinical areas to help manage patient care
- Observe and adhere to all facility policies
- Assist in moving patients within the office when needed
- Assist in scheduling patients as directed by the care providers
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to: attend staff meetings and training as directed by your manager
- Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position
- Job requires heavy lifting and prolonged standing or sitting.
- May have to work overtime with little or no notice as needed

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
