Job Summary
We are seeking an Operations Management Intern to join our dynamic team at Cordelia Biosciences. As an integral part of our operations, you will provide administrative and organizational support, ensuring the smooth functioning of our fast-paced bioscience startup. This role offers hands-on experience in operational management, working alongside a collaborative and forward-thinking team of scientists and innovators. This is an unpaid position, but it will provide you with the opportunity to be an integral part of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
- Manage team email accounts and calendars to ensure timely responses and efficient scheduling.
- Organize digital and physical files for easy accessibility.
- Assist in preparing and proofreading documents, reports, and presentations.
Operational Support:
- Arrange travel accommodations and prepare itineraries for team members.
- Support planning and execution of team meetings, events, and training sessions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline administrative processes and implement organizational tools.
- Track office supplies and equipment inventory, placing orders as needed.
- Coordinate with customers and service providers to meet operational needs.
Task Management:
- Track project deadlines and deliverables, providing reminders and follow-ups.
- Compile and update task lists to align with team goals.
- Draft and distribute internal communications such as meeting agendas and summaries.
Support to Leadership:
- Provide administrative support to leadership, including preparing materials for meetings.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a startup environment.
- Interest in bioscience, business operations/management, or administrative roles.
