SUMMARY
The IT Support Specialist supports all user desktop hardware and applications. This position performs a wide spectrum of IT tasks and requires both general and specific knowledge in many areas. The IT Support Specialist is a direct interface with Corden computer users.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties will be assigned.
User Support :
- Provide support and training to all users on all company-wide network systems
- Track user support requests and system failures through help desk system; assign tickets to other IT personnel, as needed
- Configure and install PC hardware and software, to include upgrades and special configuration scenarios
- Configure and support all company-approved mobile devices and applications
- Provide new employees with an orientation of the computer systems and procedures
- Handle inventories, files, and other IT-related data processing tasks
- Add new users in Microsoft AD as specified by account requests and perform other administrative functions within AD
- Provides support for the Agilent OpenLab environment
Network Support :
LEADERSHIP & BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides guidance where appropriate. Participates in the budget process as required.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school, and 2 years related experience preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience would be acceptable. IT related certifications are a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
