Thermal - Distribution Mechanic I

Power Plant - Distribution Mechanic I Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, or the Lead Distribution Mechanic, the Distribution Mechanic is responsible for repair of the Steam and Chilled Water distribution systems to ensure the uninterrupted flow of Steam and Chilled Water from the plants to the customer and associated distribution system.  •    Inspect, maintain, and repair distribution piping, manholes, ducting reducing station, valves, expansion joints, etc.•    Identify, locate, and repair any leaks or faulty equipment associated with distribution system.•    Inspect and maintain all vehicles and equipment used in repair work on steam mains.•    Ensure all city and state permits and regulations are followed and that no work done will endanger the public.•    Evaluate readiness and quality of distribution system and make recommendations for the improvement of same.•    Keep an inventory of materials necessary for distribution system maintenance and order parts required to maintain this inventory.
