Exciting, profitable $4B DC-area Venture Capital firm is seeking a Finance Manager to support investment, operations and investor relations teams. He/she will work out of the DC office three (3) days per week.

Exciting, profitable $4B DC-area Venture Capital firm is seeking a Finance Manager to support investment, operations and investor relations teams. He/she will work out of the DC office three (3) days per week.
Responsibility Scope:
- Partner with investment teams on deal execution, portfolio monitoring and funding/disbursements while recording and accounting for related transactions
- Help prepare and review quarterly portfolio company valuations including analysis of complex capital structures and implementation of valuation methodologies in accordance with ASC-820
- Assist in managing preparation and review of annual and quarterly credit fund financial statements and quarterly/monthly workbooks
- Actively manage fund liquidity and line of credit including forecasting, compliance with partnership agreement and determination of timing of investor capital calls
- Analyze and calculate investment/fund performance
- Analyze projections including returns and carried interest waterfall
- Maintain and improve controls, documentation and record-keeping
- Help coordinate with and for fund service providers for audit, tax, valuation and portfolio monitoring
- Ad-hoc analysis for CFO and Senior Executives as required
- Manage, mentor and train 1-2 direct reports
Requirements:
- Four (4 ) or more years of total experience
- BS in Accounting or finance with 3.5 GPA minimum
- CPA required
- Big-4 or regional public accounting (audit or tax) is highly preferred
- Experience within PE, VC or alternative investments (or exposure to public accounting clients) is highly preferred
- Management experience preferred (1 staff)
- Superior communication, organization, ethics and team-building abilities are required
Compensation Range:
- $140,000-150,000 base salary
- Highly competitive bonus (40% target)
- Additional, eventual compensation is standard for high performers
