- Process and code accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements and manage vendor relationships.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, including coordinating with internal departments for approvals and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation related to accounts payable transactions.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and analyses as needed.
- Assist with audits by providing documentation and information related to accounts payable.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., MRI/Yardi) is a plus.
- Prior experience in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred but not required.
