Opportunity Overview
Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is supporting a Reston, VA based $50M company with operations up and down the east coast with a Senior Accountant position. The company has an energetic, driven culture amongst the 70 employees, with a hybrid work environment. This Senior Accountant will be the “go-to” person for Accounting matters, provide light oversight of team operations, and report to the Director of Finance.
Pay/Compensation
Salary can range from $90k-100k, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Manage month end close process including reviewing journal entries posted by staff, ensuring accuracy of the ledger, and reconciling accounting accordingly
- Work alongside the Finance Director in daily operations, supporting ad hoc projects as needed
- Act as point of contact for yearend audit procedures
- Maintain various schedules to include fixed assets, prepaids and notes payable
- Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Ensure organization of miscellaneous contractor W-9 forms and 1099's at year end
Qualifications
- BS in Accounting (required)
- Sage Intacct software experience (required)
- 5 years of accounting experience – owning the daily/operational accounting from start to finish
- Project Accounting knowledge (preferred)
