Position Overview:
We are seeking a Psychotherapist (LCSW/LMHC) to join our dynamic clinical team. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, empathetic, and skilled in providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group therapy: Conduct evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address emotional, mental, and behavioral challenges in clients of all ages.
- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions: Complete comprehensive intake assessments, psychosocial evaluations, and diagnosis based on clinical assessment and DSM-5 criteria.
- Develop and implement treatment plans: Collaborate with clients to develop tailored treatment plans that align with their personal goals and clinical needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation: Document client progress, session notes, treatment plans, and assessments in a clear and thorough manner, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
- Provide crisis intervention: Offer immediate support during crisis situations and work collaboratively with clients to develop effective coping strategies.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team: Partner with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and holistic treatment.
- Provide education and resources: Offer clients tools, strategies, and resources to help manage their mental health outside of therapy sessions.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment: Foster a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space for clients to explore their emotions and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in NY.
- Experience with diverse populations and a wide range of mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, etc.).
- Familiarity with treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards of practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in providing therapy for the adult demographic
- Certification or specialized training in specific therapeutic techniques (e.g., EMDR, trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based therapy, etc.).
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (if applicable).
Education:
- Required:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Mental Health Counseling (MHC) from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure (LCSW or LMHC).
