The Associate Territory Manager (ATM) is a crucial role for the growth of our sales and product footprint. In this role, you will have direct ownership over driving and managing sales within smaller territories, as well as partner with and learn from established Territory Managers on larger territories. The ATM position reports into the Regional Director and is poised to grow into a Territory Manager role upon strong performance results and achievement of assigned territory objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drive relationships and case volume while growing sales with current and potential customers
- Achieve “overall” & “focused” sales/revenue quotas as assigned
- Drive sales opportunities at existing & new accounts (acute / non-acute)
- Effectively target, forecast, cultivate, & execute sales strategies within given territory
- Able to work independently, with support & mentorship from partnering Territory Manager
- Understand how to profile accounts into clinical & economic orientation, and structure sales approach accordingly
- Clinical - focus on the “end-user” including Physicians, Nurses, Techs, Fellows, PA’s, NP’s, etc.
- Economic – focus on Supply Chain, VAT members & all involved with “purchasing / contracting” decision-making; strengthen relationships once established to ensure penetration throughout the account
- Conduct consultative sales calls on Interventional Cardiologists, Interventional Radiologists, Neuro Interventionalists and Vascular Surgeon; Ensure ability to provide lab and case support
- Create & present complex, multi-product category proposal & pricing recommendations
- Spearhead all in-servicing & education planning during account launches & routine account maintenance visits
- Develop and maintain solid customer relationships with KOL’s, key clinicians, economic stakeholders, etc.
- Field “leads” generated from conferences & Sr. Leadership engagement, & effectively follow up at the local level to drive successful results
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects
- Effectively partner with Cordis sales and marketing leadership, cross-functional teams, & field-based counterparts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1 years of medical sales experience or 2 years’ experience as Clinical Specialist in the endovascular industry
- Current and Valid Driver’s License
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
- This job is a field-based position. The teammate will be responsible for working daily in hospitals, doctors’ offices, and other medical establishments within the assigned territory. May be required to work atypical hours (evenings and weekends) based on customer and/or business needs.
