We are looking for a Senior Training Specialist to support our Selution Operations and Manufacturing processes. This position will be located at the Selution office in Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Training Specialist to join our Selution operations team. This position will be located at the Selution office in Irvine, CA.
1. Training Program Development
- Analyze and understand the unique aspects of the Selution manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.’
- Collaborate with manufacturing managers and supervisors to identify training needs and skills gaps.
- Create a curriculum that will minimize the learning curve while ensuring consistency and quality of training to prevent non-conformances.
- Design and develop tailored adult education training programs for production operators that are aligned with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Create engaging and accessible training materials, including presentations, manuals, videos, hands-on workshops, and skills/competency assessments.
2. Training Team
- Define the training organization design needed to deploy the Selution training program.
- Develop and track metrics that measure the execution and quality of Selution training.
3. Training Delivery
- Execute effective training sessions for teammates at various skill levels, from entry-level workers to advanced operators.
- Identify and build out a training room that can be used for both classroom and hands-on training.
- Use interactive and adaptive teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes, including demonstrations, role-playing, and group activities.
- Provide real-world examples and case studies to contextualize theoretical knowledge.
- Create criteria and assessments to certify trainees that will not only test skill but critical thinking of the process as well.
4. Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in adult education technologies, processes, and industry trends.
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs through employee performance metrics, feedback, and post-training evaluations.
- Continuously refine training materials and methods to maintain relevance and effectiveness.
5. Compliance and Safety Training
- Ensure all training programs comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
- Promote a culture of safety by integrating health and safety principles into training sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Education, or a related field, required.
- Proven experience in manufacturing operations, processes, or engineering, with 5 years of experience in developing and delivering training programs.
- Certification in adult education, instructional design, or training and development is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and multimedia tools.
- Strong ability to guide/coach direct reports, but also ability to teach with a hands-on approach (as needed).

- This is a first shift position; however, it has responsibility for the execution of second shift training. This role must be available to support second shift training needs and issues as needed.
