Overview
Field Engineer
Cordoba Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer with outstanding communication skills and field experience, who will assist the Construction Manager in the daily management, reporting, communications, operations, coordination, and general administrative needs of projects assigned. Individuals must be able to manage multiple tasks, exhibit strong organizational skills, and have a basic understanding of the design and construction process.
Responsibilities
- Project Communications and filing
- Receives, coordinates, and distributes all project correspondence
- Maintains records and tracks all meeting action items
- Assists the Construction Manager (CM) with the resolution of issues
- Creates, distributes, and maintains minutes for all project meetings
- Schedules project meetings and calendars all events in MS Office
- Develops tracking logs in Excel or other university-preferred software
- Assist with Project Controls with university-preferred software
- Assists in managing and tracking RFIs, A/E Bulletins, CDs, CORs, RFPs, and COs
- Assists in creating change management documents for approval by the CM
- Assists CM in monitoring daily work against the construction schedule
- Assists CM in the management of quality assurance mechanisms
- Assists with processing and tracking Submittals & Shop Drawings
- Helps maintain project Record Documents
- Keeps project history by maintaining a chronological timeline of project photographs
- Assist with updating AsBuilt drawings, as required
- Prepares closeout documents for turnover to Facilities M&O
- Assists with the financial closeout of all projects assigned
Qualifications
- BS or BA Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is required.
- Minimum one year experience in construction and/or construction management. Preferred two (2) years or more. Preference for educational and/or public works projects in California
- Knowledge/experience working with State agencies or Division of the State Architect preferred
- Knowledge of construction management procedures
- Familiarity with construction contract documents
- Knowledge of industry best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Bluebeam. AutoCAD is a plus for non-stamped sketches/drawings

Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
