Overview
Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Transmission and Distribution to join our Energy-Electric sector. This role will be responsible for designing, analyzing, or conducting quality control (QC) reviews on electrical transmission and distribution lines. This role involves working on projects that contribute to the development and enhancement of power infrastructure. The Transmission and Distribution Lines Engineer plays a pivotal role in maintaining industry standards, implementing innovative solutions, and providing technical expertise in the field
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze or QC transmission and distribution lines using state-of-the-art software, including PLS-CADD or other utility relevant engineering software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Apply engineering principles to optimize the performance and reliability of transmission and distribution lines.
- Conduct QC assessments to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
- Lead a team of engineers in planning and executing engineering tasks on transmission and distribution lines projects
- Assist with mentoring and training of junior staff and engineers.
- Identify issues and raise them for management review along with potential solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Attend meetings with clients, vendors and governing agencies as required.
- Collaborate with other departments for integrated project delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of department and company goals.
- Participate in special projects or tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field required
- 8-12 years of experience in Electric transmission and distribution lines engineering
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) required
- CA PE (Professional Engineer) preferred
- Experience leading engineers with planning and executing tasks for Electric transmission or distribution projects
- Experience developing and reviewing construction drawings for transmission projects
- Experience in transmission and/or distribution construction support and constructability (i.e., hotline calls, alternative design, or material queries)
- Proficient in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE or other utility relevant engineering software
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project
- Familiarity with assisting and managing resources and budgets for engineering projects
- Experience developing and implementing engineering standards and best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven leadership and team management skills
Pay Range: $93,600 - $145,600 per year
Work Environment: Hybrid 1-2 days per week in the San Diego, Santa Ana, or Los Angeles, CA
Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship
Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
