Job Summary:
The Public Relations Assistant will support the Public Relations team in executing PR strategies and campaigns. This role involves writing press releases, managing social media, coordinating events, and communicating with media outlets. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, detail-oriented, and passionate about media and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of PR strategies and campaigns.
- Write and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other communication materials.
- Monitor media coverage and compile reports on PR activities.
- Maintain relationships with media contacts and handle media inquiries.
- Help organize and coordinate events, including press conferences and product launches.
- Maintain PR databases and media contact lists.
- Conduct research to support PR planning and outreach efforts.
- Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings and tracking PR activities.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Familiarity with media monitoring and PR software (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
