The Correctional Officerprovides for the security, care and direct supervision ofinmates / residents in housing units, at meals, during recreation, onwork assignments and during all other phases of activity in acorrectional facility.
You may have to employ weapons orforce to maintain discipline and order. Veterans areencouraged to apply.
- You are responsible for maintaining order andsecurity of inmates in a correctionalfacility.
- You must be able to work any shift, as you maybe assigned to a variety of posts including, but not limited to,armory / key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation,etc.
- CoreCivic recognizes your military service toqualify you for positions
requiring criminal justiceexperience.
You may be a fit for this role ifyou :
- Have a high school diploma, GED certification orequivalent.
- We train you to be successful : Paid training,and where applicable, be a non-commissioned security officerlicensed by the state of employment (we pay the cost foryou).
- Have a valid driver'slicense.
- Can demonstrate the ability to complete any requiredtraining.
- Are at least 18 years ofage.
