The Scribe serves as an assistant during the examination and treatment of infectious disease patients under the direction of a telehealth physician. Documents and gathers information during the treatment process. Organizes healthcare data to provide better service and efficiency of clinical care.

The Scribe serves as an assistant during the examination and treatment of infectious disease patients under the direction of a telehealth physician. Documents and gathers information during the treatment process. Organizes healthcare data to provide better service and efficiency of clinical care.
Essential Duties
- Manages an iPad or other communication tools at the direction of the telehealth physician as the patient is examined
- Greet patients in a welcoming manner and makes introductions with the physician
- Assists the patients and physician with communication as appropriate and necessary to support an effective, efficient, and positive patient experience
- Don and doff personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for patient interactions
- Follow policies and procedures in compliance with the health system
- Other duties as assigned
- Accurately and efficiently utilize communication tools to service physicians and patients
- Excellent organization skills with keen attention to detail
- Service orientated mindset with ability to build and maintain trust with patients, clinicians, and administration
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Medical certifications preferred
- Prior experience as a scribe
- Scheduling experience preferred
- Training experience preferred
