What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Response Liaison position at CORE Community Organized Relief Effort?
The Emergency Response Associate serves as a critical point of contact for CORE and additional entities involved in emergency response, like the Emergency Operations Center. This role is responsible for facilitating communication, coordination, and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and timely responses to emergencies and crises. The Emergency Response Associate will act as the liaison between various teams, agencies, and organizations, helping streamline information flow and support emergency operations.
\n- Serve as the central liaison between CORE and external entities such as local, state, and federal emergency response agencies, or relevant partners.
- Work with emergency management teams, local authorities, and community partners to build trust andidentify and address potential gaps in emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Ensure that key stakeholders are promptly and accurately informed about ongoing emergency situations, resource availability, and response activities.
- The Emergency Response Consultant shall serve as a liaison for CORE, maintain a presence at the daily Emergency Operations Center meeting(s), identify potential gaps in emergency preparedness and response plans that CORE can support, and ensure streamlined communications with key CORE staff.
- Attend daily EOC meeting Monday through Friday
- Provide CORE stakeholders a daily update on meetings
- Support CORE with response planning as needed based on inter-agency coordination
- Proven skillset as a liaison
- Proven experience in inter-agency coordination
