The Project Manager will oversee the planning and execution of the Air Purifier Distribution Initiative, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of air purifiers across Los Angeles. This role involves creating optimized delivery routes from Excel data, coordinating with drivers, and managing dispatch operations within the Relief Compass system. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in logistics and community outreach.

Responsibilities
- Route Planning and Logistics Coordination
- Develop and optimize delivery routes based on recipient data in Excel.
- Assign delivery zones to drivers for efficiency and coverage.
- Ensure real-time adjustments to routes as needed based on recipient availability and unforeseen circumstances.
- Point of contact for City Emergency Management and other partners associated with project.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all delivery personnel.
- Provide drivers with necessary instructions, addresses, and recipient details.
- Address any delivery issues, such as incorrect addresses or failed attempts.
- Monitor deliveries in real-time using the Relief Compass system.
- Track driver progress and ensure adherence to scheduled delivery windows.
- Maintain a clear record of completed deliveries, rescheduled drop-offs, and recipient feedback.
- Compile daily reports on progress, challenges, and recommendations for process improvement.
- Work closely with the Relief Compass team to ensure recipients are properly informed about deliveries.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, project management, public administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 3 years of experience in project management, logistics, or dispatch operations.
- Proficiency in Excel for data management and route planning.
- Experience working with dispatch systems such as Relief Compass or similar tools.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and troubleshoot logistical challenges in real-time.
- Experience in nonprofit operations, disaster response, or community outreach initiatives.
- Familiarity with the geography of Los Angeles and traffic patterns.
- Hybrid work environment, with time split between an office setting and field coordination.
- Availability for occasional evening or weekend deliveries as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. when assisting with deliveries.
