JOB SUMMARY
The Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of concrete projects, including scheduling, materials and staff. They will ensure safe and efficient work practices, resolve project issues and provide the crew with daily supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review project plans, specifications, agreements and other documentation to understand the scope of work.
- Determine crew start, end and break times and communicate schedule expectations with the team.
- Accurately read blueprints and effectively manage a crew of 3-5 laborers/finishers to effectively and efficiently complete the work on time.
- Proactively and reactively handle any issues, questions or on-the-job training needed by the crew.
- Have an awareness of project budgets to ensure fiscal accountability.
- Courteously partner with crew members and other individuals on the job site.
- Any other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
- Maintain an acceptable level of job performance on a consistent basis.
- Be able to report to work on time and be ready to work at the start of every shift.
- Operate any equipment safely and efficiently as required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Education and Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience in all phases of concrete construction.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience leading a crew preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Be able to lift and transport a minimum of 60 pounds on a consistent basis and up to 80 lbs. intermittently.
- Able to stoop, twist, bend, squat, kneel, reach at or below or above the shoulder level.
- Must be able to handle outdoor temperatures in the summer and winter months.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel on occasion for a week or so at a time.
