Accounting Specialist Job Summary
The Accounting Specialist will manage critical bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This role encompasses P&L management, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, cash management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining organized financial records, supporting monthly closings, and contributing to the company's financial health.
Accounting Specialist Responsibilities
- Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts and prepare bank reconciliations.
- Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including billings and collections.
- Maintain accurate cash management and records.
- Organize and maintain historical financial records through systematic filing.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Management Reporting & Support
- Prepare financial reports and provide insights to management when required.
- Oversee the 12-week cash forecast and provide regular updates.
- Manage the petty cash fund efficiently.
- Issue invoices with appropriate payment terms.
- Ensure timely collection and reconciliation of receivables.
- Process and manage vendor invoices.
- Ensure timely payments with proper approvals.
