A dynamic Research and Development Lab in Houston is seeking a motivated and hands-on R&D Lab Automation Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing, building, and programming automated data acquisition systems to validate a range of engineered products, including valves, actuators, and control accessories. As a key contributor to the R&D Lab team, you will ensure the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of testing processes, driving innovation and supporting a growing product portfolio.

Location : Onsite, 5 days a week in Houston, Texas
Automation Test Engineer Responsibilities
- Test System Development : Design and program automated data acquisition systems using LabVIEW to validate various products.
- Sensor Integration : Specify and implement sensors (e.g., load cells, strain gauges, thermocouples, pressure transducers) for testing purposes.
- Test Planning : Develop and execute detailed test plans and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Process Automation : Identify and implement automation solutions to improve lab operations.
- System Troubleshooting & Maintenance : Address issues with automated systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Inventory & System Management : Oversee inventory and maintain systems such as SharePoint, Teams Sites, and reporting systems.
- Database Development : Maintain a centralized database for data access and reporting using Azure CosmosDB.
- Training : Train team members on automation tools and techniques.
- Safety Compliance : Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
