Lead Field Service Engineer – Marine Automation Job Summary
The Lead Field Service Engineer – Marine Automation is a critical role responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced marine automation systems. The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies, including SCADA systems, PLCs, and various field instruments, in marine, offshore, and shipyard environments. This role also requires providing exceptional customer service, technical expertise, and on-site leadership to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Lead Field Service Engineer – Marine Automation Responsibilities
- Install and test field instruments, including pressure, flow, speed, and motion sensors, as well as advanced systems like RTDs, X-rays, laser scanners, and encoders. Perform commissioning of automation controllers and SCADA systems in marine and offshore settings.
Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) in collaboration with customers as per contractual agreements.
Provide troubleshooting services for on-site issues, offering resolutions and implementing corrective actions. Deliver 24x7 support during scheduled on-call periods to address customer service requests.
Work closely with design engineers to ensure technical integrity and proper installation of systems. Interface with third-party and customer systems to achieve seamless integration.
Lead small teams in challenging environments to ensure the successful completion of projects. Support customers both remotely and on-site for ongoing system maintenance and component issues.
Identify new opportunities to improve equipment reliability and availability. Support engineering teams with system upgrade projects and assist in bidding processes for prospective upgrades.
Adhere to company policies and ensure all work complies with safety standards and business goals.
