By leveraging project plans, demand forecasts, and collaboration with stakeholders, the Component Planner ensures the smooth flow of materials through the supply chain. This position focuses on maintaining optimal inventory levels, streamlining supply chain processes, and resolving material issues promptly, all while supporting the day-to-day production needs of a global flow control company.
Component Planner - Controls Responsibilities
- Schedule material demands and work order completion dates in the ERP system to align with the production schedule.
- Monitor and update Master Data to ensure accurate future planning.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels by managing reorder points and safety stock.
- Process requisitions for stock replenishment and special order requirements.
- Implement cost-saving alternatives and minimize inventory valuation.
- AN principles to improve planning and production processes.
- Utilize Excel and Power BI to create analytical tools and improve efficiency.
- Analyze and manage multi-layer BOMs for complex component demands.
- Leverage MRP, SFC, and MPS systems for capacity planning and inventory management.
- Proactively solve material issues and expedite orders when necessary.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
