The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of welding projects to applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. This role includes inspecting and testing welds, monitoring welding operations, and preparing detailed reports. The CWI will work closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to maintain safety and quality standards.
Certified Welding Inspector SoCal Job Responsibilities
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to verify conformance with specifications, codes (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX), and client requirements.
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT), including radiographic, ultrasonic, and dye penetrant testing, as needed.
- Inspect materials and welding equipment to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, test results, and corrective action plans.
- Maintain records of inspections, tests, and project-related documentation.
- Work with engineers, welders, and project managers to address any quality issues.
- Provide guidance and recommendations for improvements or corrective actions.
