Electronics Technician Job Summary
The Electronics Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic systems on marine vessels. This role involves working with a variety of equipment, including navigation systems, communication devices, and other electronic controls that ensure the safe and efficient operation of maritime vessels.
Electronics Technician Responsibilities
- Trouble shoot and diagnose all levels of electronic systems
- Radar
- VHF and MF / HF
- Computer systems
- Camera systems
- 12VDC and 24VDC power systems
- Must know how to use multi-meter, amp meter, or megger.
- Terminate all types of electronic equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspecting of communication and navigation equipment.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new equipment and manufactures.
- Manage projects as assigned On-call for a (7) seven-day period.
- Travel occasionally for the company.
- Insure all of the company's safety and operational policies are followed
