Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Job Summary
The what inspector will serve as a third-party representative responsible for overseeing the client’s specific Scope of Work (SoW), materials, and equipment. This role ensures compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulations, industry codes and standards, and client specifications. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Responsibilities
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure contractors adhere to the SoW, schedule, client specifications and procedures, and industry standards.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Identify and document any issues, anomalies, deficiencies, or non-conformities found during inspections.
Provide detailed daily reports to the client, including :
Activities performed
Plans for upcoming work
Notable concerns or recommendations
Photographic evidence of site conditions
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between the client and contractors, ensuring that project expectations are met.
Monitor construction, installation, and operational activities offshore to confirm compliance with FERC regulations.
Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both the client and contractor representatives.
Assist in resolving non-conformities or deficiencies by providing guidance on corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance audits and reviews.
Participate in project meetings and safety briefings as required.
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Position Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant inspection, regulatory, or compliance role.
Strong understanding of FERC regulations, industry standards, and offshore construction practices.
Ability to work in offshore environments under rotational schedules.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in work execution.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Proficiency in using inspection tools, report-writing software, and photographic documentation.
Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with client objectives.
Valid offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, SafeGulf) preferred.
