Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities
- Promote and market all product lines to existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- Visit customer sites to assess processes and identify opportunities for improving reliability, efficiency, and value.
- Manage accounts strategically to achieve or exceed sales goals.
- Become technically proficient with all product lines and applications.
- Prior experience selling valves and controls.
- Industrial sales experience with valves, actuators, controls, and instrumentation, with a focus on industries such as mining, paper mills, sugar, refineries, and manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of fluid handling equipment, including valves, controls, and piping systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and auto insurance.
- Ability to meet company driver policy requirements, including maintaining current auto liability insurance and adhering to all safety practices.
