Mitigation Technician Job Summary

The Mitigation Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while performing loss assessments, water extractions, dry-outs, demolition, and other related services. The technician will complete documentation accurately, operate equipment safely, and maintain a professional, solution-focused mindset.

Mitigation Technician Responsibilities

• Perform water mitigation services following industry and safety standards.
• Maintain and care for all company equipment, supplies, and vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure job efficiency.
• Provide respectful and clear communication to guide customers through the mitigation process.
• Document job details thoroughly, including photos and reports.
• Safely operate and maintain water extraction, drying, and dehumidification equipment.
• Conduct demolition work including removal of cabinets, vanities, baseboards, drywall, and flooring.
• Apply appropriate disinfectants to treat affected areas.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency services.
• Follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
  
  

Mitigation Technician Position Requirements

• Basic knowledge of construction materials and water damage restoration preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in challenging and changing environments.
• Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators.
• Valid driver's license with an approved driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Experience in customer service or physical labor is a plus.
