Naval Architect Responsibilities
- Develop and execute engineering and design strategies for marine projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
- Oversee structural engineering, cargo containment, and vessel modifications.
- Support risk assessments, including HAZOP, HAZID, and FMECA studies.
- Manage vendor selection, review proposals, and oversee plan approvals.
- Supervise contractors and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Evaluate new technology and manage front-end development for conversion projects.
- Provide technical support for shipyard and supplier engagements.
- Participate in international travel for project oversight as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- 5 years of project engineering experience in shipbuilding, offshore oil & gas, or major industrial/maritime projects.
- Experience with LNG or FSRU operations preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- PMP certification and scheduling software knowledge (MS Project/Primavera) are a plus.
