Pulp & Paper Project Engineer Responsibilities
- Create detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, to achieve project objectives.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to execute projects, ensuring alignment with operational needs and strategic goals.
- Conduct technical analysis, feasibility studies, and cost estimates to support project development and decision-making.
- Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment, systems, and processes to improve mill performance and reliability.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on project status to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery, proactively addressing any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to troubleshoot problems and optimize processes.
- 5 -7 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, project management and strategic planning
- Strong process improvement and problem solving skill sets
- Demonstrated results in the areas of strategic planning and project management
- Experience in operations and engineering leadership roles in heavy industrial manufacturing settings; paper industry experience highly desired
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Power Point and Project
