Quality Assurance Inspector Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to play a critical role in ensuring that all repair and maintenance activities meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine repair and shipyard operations, with a focus on quality control and assurance processes.
Quality Assurance Inspector Responsibilities
- Coordinating inspections for ongoing work in facility’s Graving Dock (“Drydock”) and Mobile Boat Hoist (“MBH”).
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct inspections of materials, components, and systems, including structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical systems.
- Identify and document non-conformities, discrepancies, and defects, and work with the production team to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of quality control activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production personnel to address and resolve quality-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to employees on quality assurance standards and best practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in ship repair and maritime safety protocols preferred
