Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector Responsibilities

Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections for civil construction projects, including foundations, roads, earthworks, and structural components, ensuring adherence to design specifications and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and verify compliance with quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes across all phases of the project.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications, and provide input on potential areas of improvement or risk.
- Document inspection findings, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and track resolutions to completion.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure timely communication of QA/QC findings and resolve any discrepancies.
- Conduct materials testing and inspection to verify compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Maintain records of all inspection activities and submit detailed reports on project quality performance.
- Ensure all work aligns with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of QA/QC processes, proposing and implementing new practices to improve quality outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of QA/QC inspection experience, preferably within the energy, midstream, or heavy industrial sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of civil construction standards, industry codes, and quality control principles.
- Certification in relevant QA/QC or inspection standards is a plus (e.g., CWI, ASQ, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the civil construction industry.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to document findings thoroughly.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with QA/QC software tools is advantageous.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments, with a readiness for travel as needed.
