Supervisor Maintenance Planning & Records Job Summary
The Supervisor of Maintenance Planning and Records will ensure that maintenance activities do not disrupt flight schedules or affect safety. They will develop and maintain a spare parts inventory and analyze equipment downtime and identify opportunities for improvement. They will participate in the development of capital projects to improve equipment reliability and performance. They will help the organization move from reactive maintenance to proactive maintenance.

They will participate in the development of capital projects to improve equipment reliability and performance. They will help the organization move from reactive maintenance to proactive maintenance.
Supervisor Maintenance Planning & Records Responsibilities
- Preventive maintenance: Creating, updating, and managing schedules for preventive maintenance
- on Company aircraft, engines, and appliances.
- Records Compliance: Ensure records are maintained in accordance with the Company’s General
- Maintenance Manual (GMM) and applicable regulations.
- Deferred Maintenance: Coordinating with Maintenance Control to schedule necessary repairs to
- clear any MEL’s or NEF’s for those items deferred in accordance with the MEL or NEF.
- Inventory monitoring: Assist the Supply Chain Manager and Stock Clerks monitoring inventory levels
- for spare parts and tools to support the maintenance planning operation.
- Cost tracking: Tracking costs associated with maintenance planning.
- Vendor coordination: Coordinating with outside vendors for specialized services, and any scheduled
- task to be performed by an outside vendor or contractor.
- Quality initiatives: Participating in quality initiatives and taking personal accountability for quality
- through participation in the Company’s Continuous Analysis Surveillance System (CASS) program.
- Risk identification: Identifying risks, containing them, and putting countermeasures in place.
- Efficiency improvement: Seeking ways to improve work efficiency and identify areas for savings.
- Lead a team of maintenance planning and aircraft records analyst.
- Perform On-The-Job training on aircraft maintenance record keeping and maintenance planning
- personnel in relation to company practices, policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance and/or Manager of Quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior Maintenance Planning experience in airline industry.
- 3 Years or aircraft records and maintenance planning experience.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5 years or more of aircraft record keeping and maintenance planning experience in a Part 135 or 121
- Operation.
- Experience on electronic record keeping with maintenance and engineering (M&E) tracking systems
- such as CAMP, Flightdocs, Traxall, Trax, etc.
- An Airframe and Powerplant certificate is preferred
