Turbocharger Service Engineer Responsibilities

Turbocharger Service Engineer Responsibilities
- Perform assembly and disassembly of turbochargers and their components according to manufacturer instructions.
- Inspect turbochargers for wear and damage, diagnose issues, and determine necessary repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repair work on turbochargers, including cleaning, reconditioning, and replacing parts.
- Prepare detailed technical reports on the condition of turbochargers and the work performed.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers, both onsite and remotely.
- Work closely with other engineers and technicians to coordinate repairs and share knowledge.
- A recognized electrical or mechanical certificate from an accredited trade school or military training institution, or an associate degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with turbochargers, marine diesel engines, and similar mechanical systems. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
- Strong understanding of and experience with turbocharger systems and components.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- High level of accuracy in performing maintenance and repairs.
- Effective communication with customers and team members.
- Availability to travel (up to 60 or 70%) and work occasionally during weekends.
- Ability to write detailed technical reports.
- Professional representation of the company when communicating with customers.
