Welder Job Summary 

We are urgently seeking skilled Flux Cored Arc Welders (FCAW) for structural welding in shipbuilding at our Sturgeon Bay, WI facility. The ideal candidate will perform welding on ships and shipyard structures, ensuring quality welds that meet rigorous inspection standards. You will operate in various environments, including extreme heights, confined spaces, and different weather conditions.

Welder Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW structural welding in multiple positions (2G, 3G, 4G) for shipbuilding.
• Conduct welding to meet nondestructive test requirements, including visual, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, and radiographic inspections.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot manual and semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Follow detailed specifications, layout, and assemble parts using tools like straightedges, calipers, and rulers.
• Inspect workpieces for defects, ensuring conformance to specifications.
• Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions, as required.
• Troubleshoot welding equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a commitment to Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Policies.

Welder Position Requirements

• Experience in shipyard or heavy industrial environments preferred.
• Proven ability to pass FCAW welding tests (2G, 3G, 4G).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical welding issues.
