Wireline Field Technician Job Summary

The Field Technician - Wireline Operations will operate and maintain wireline equipment specializing in tools and cables with diameters less than a quarter inch. This role involves executing wireline services such as logging, perforating, and data collection for oil and gas exploration, production, and well maintenance, ensuring efficient and safe operations in field environments.

Wireline Field Technician Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wireline equipment for downhole services including logging, perforating, and data collection.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on wireline tools and equipment.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate specialized wireline equipment in various field conditions.
• Monitor operational performance and collaborate with engineers to optimize service quality.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory standards during all field operations.
• Provide real-time solutions to operational challenges and adapt to changing site conditions.
• Document operational data and communicate findings to technical teams.
• Participate in on-site safety meetings and ensure compliance with company and client safety protocols.
  
  

Wireline Field Technician Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in wireline operations, specifically with tools and cables under 1/4 inch in diameter.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining wireline tools and downhole equipment.
• Experience in oil and gas exploration, production, and well maintenance environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work in remote locations and on-call schedules as required.
