What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Bookkeeper and Office Assistant (2-4 days per week) position at Core Insurance and Risk Advisors?
Core Insurance and Risk Advisors is a growing business in Howard, WI that values organization, client care, positivity, and teamwork. We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Professional/Bookkeeper to support the team and owner directly.
Key Responsibilities:
- QuickBooks Support: Manage financial entries, prepare monthly reports, and assist with reconciliations.
- Insurance reporting documents: Complete a monthly report totaling premiums sold between the different carriers and submit to the master agency.
- Insurance Documentation: Assemble and organize physical insurance policies for clients and help distribute auto ID cards.
- Certificates of Insurance: Mail out certificates of insurance when needed throughout the week.
- Office Organization: Help the owner stay organized by managing files, supplies, and overall office tidiness.
- Scheduling: Assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining the owner’s calendar to keep daily tasks on track.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or willingness to learn quickly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
- Like numbers and have some experience managing a budget.
- Prior experience in insurance or office administration is a plus but not required.
