What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospital Linen Supervisor position at CORE Linen Services?
Working as a Laundry Supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring departmental efficiencies in a safe working environment and that orders to the customers are filled and delivered as accurately and efficiently as possible while being aware of needs and conditions of additional plant departments to assist in planning laundry productivity to provide the highest possible level of service.
Prepares work schedules for production employees in assigned department(s)
Provides daily work assignments
Adhere to all Core Linen Services policies as stated in the employee handbook.
Be in uniform and maintain a neat appearance every workday.
Keep company equipment clean and organized.
Follow all safety procedures.
Follow all universal precautions and procedures.
Report any and all problems/issues in regards to customer service and satisfaction.
Maintain a professional, courteous attitude.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build clean, neat, organized carts to set standard par level.
Deliver clean linen to the different departments within the hospitals.
Pick up all soiled carts from all floors if working on the second shift.
Take and fill orders from hospital staff.
Clean linen room as necessary—sweep, mop, pick-up as necessary
Open new linen for processing
Align, stage carts as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and possibly holidays. Pass a background check. Be able to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull a wheeled cart of 650 lbs.
Ability to make decisions regarding production, distribution, and scheduling
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
Exhibit initiative, sense of urgency, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
At least 1 to 3 years combined operations/supervisory experience
