Job Summary
A key role in the company, responsible for delivering hands-on training to new drivers and experienced drivers, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their careers. This includes training on all aspects of the delivery driver job duties, as well as promoting compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and DOT guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver training to new drivers and experienced drivers in classroom and/or field settings
- Ensure maximum transfer of knowledge while meeting customer needs, service times, labor costs, and transportation costs within guidelines
- Provide ongoing and timely feedback to assigned driver trainees and supervisory staff
- Work with local programs specific to location, products, and reports used in that market to supplement PFG Driver Training Manual
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and excellence
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
- 2-4 years of Transportation delivery driver experience specifically in foodservice industry with in-depth knowledge of DOT regulations
- Computerized fleet operations management systems knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
