What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Driver Position position at Core-Mark?
Job Overview
As a Logistics Driver for Core-Mark, you will play a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only ensure that customers' products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition but are also the face of our company, building lasting relationships with our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers.
- Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally to ensure questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of the tractor, truck, and trailer, according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL-A license
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain valid current DOT Health Card
