What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver Class A CDL Local driving position at Core-Mark?
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled delivery driver to join our team at Core-Mark, a leading provider of fresh and broad-line solutions to the convenience retail industry.
The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL-A license, 6 months of commercial driving experience, and be able to lift and move product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout their shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner
- Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately report any safety hazards and inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Complete all required paperwork associated with freight in an accurate and legible fashion
- Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and perform damage control checks
- Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Clean and maintain the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers

Requirements:
- Valid CDL-A license
- 6 months of commercial driving experience
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift
