Truck Driver Class A CDL

Job Description:

• As a food and food service delivery driver, you will play a critical role in the country's food supply chain.
• You will be responsible for delivering and/or unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner, following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• You will interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.

Position Purpose:

Our delivery drivers are the face of our company, building lasting relationships with our customers while ensuring their products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition.

Responsibilities:

• Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food-related products to customers.
• Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations.
• Report any safety issues or repairs required, follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
• Deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedules, unload products from the trailer, and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
• Verify delivery of items with customers, obtain proper signatures, collect money where required, and load customer returns onto the trailer.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the tractor, loading dock, and trailers.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6 months commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL-A
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
• Able to lift and move product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift
