Summary/Objective
Effectively manage the Maintenance Department through motivational leadership and manufacturing experience in support of the plant operations while implementing best practices and procedures.
Essential Functions

- Manage the daily performance, training, and support of the Maintenance team including three shift supervisors, a maintenance planner, stockroom associates, and 20 technicians and machinists
- Develop, implement, and monitor an effective preventive maintenance program using Fiix CMMS
- Lead ongoing improvement efforts in the maintenance area to increase up-time and reduce costs
- Participate in plant-wide continuous improvement activities as the Columbus team pursues world class operations, invests in automated solutions, and strives to be a great place to work
- Implement and lead management systems to track labor utilization, part usage, and budget attainment
- Select, negotiate, and organize contractor support for required work outside of the team’s skill set
- Communicate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics in data tracking systems and formal briefings
- Develop and maintain a positive and productive relationship with internal and external customers
- Collaborate with the EHS Representative, Facilities Manager, and other department managers to provide a safe working environment at all times and protect equipment from forced deterioration

Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages all employees of Maintenance department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees in that department.

This job operates in a professional manufacturing office and shop floor environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position may occasionally require extended hours and/or weekend work.
Travel
Up to 15% required.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
- Must have experience in a managerial role leading a Maintenance team on multiple shifts
- Maintenance industry specific educational courses
- Hands-on experience with large hydraulics, servo controls, high-voltage electrical, and pneumatics
- Experience with chemical mixing, steam heat, cooling towers, and large tonnage presses is a plus
- Must have knowledge of LOTO program, hot work permits, fall protection, and safety controls
- Flexibility to work any shift as needed to ensure effective team performance
Preferred Education, Qualifications, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field highly preferred
- High energy, Leader, SMC experience, and ability to develop staff
