Job Overview

CORE Security is hiring qualified individuals for positions of School Police Officer, School Security Officer, and Armed Security Officer. We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant individuals to join our team. The ideal candidate(s) will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and the facility in which you are assigned. These positions requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to safety and security. The selected candidate(s) will be responsible for monitoring premises, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and responding promptly to incidents.

Duties

• Monitor assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular checks/inspections of buildings, grounds, and facilities to ensure safety and security.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, or emergencies in a timely manner.
• Assist with implementing strategies to enhance safety and security measures within assigned facility.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Provide first aid or CPR assistance when necessary.
• Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to monitor activities.
• Collaborate with outside law enforcement agencies when required.
• Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Experience

• Previous experience in security or law enforcement is mandatory.
• Knowledge of conflict management techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention practices is advantageous.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• A military background or relevant security certification can be beneficial.

Qualifications

School Police Officer

• Must be a retired Pennsylvania State Police Officer or Act 120 Certified Municipal Police Officer as per the guidelines of PA Act 67 .
• Basic School Resource Officer training/certification is required but may be provided by the employer if necessary.
• Must be PA Act 235 Certified.

School Security Officer

• Prior law enforcement or experience in the security field is preferred.
• Basic School Resource Officer training/certification is required but may be provided by the employer if necessary.
• Must be PA Act 235 Certified.

Armed Security Officer

• Prior law enforcements experience and/or background in the security field is preferred.
• Must be Act 235 Certified.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 40 per week
