Overview:
We are seeking a Cyber Systems Test Engineer to support the Operational Test and Evaluation Force (OPTEVFOR). This role involves developing and executing structured Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) activities, including cyber survivability assessments using Mission Effect Test and Analysis (META).
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Test Support
Operational Test Support
- Conduct detailed test planning, documentation review, and test execution for C4IS systems.
- Support test operations, data management, and reporting to ensure mission success.
- Apply modeling and simulation (M&S) techniques to enhance testing processes.
Cyber Test Design and Analysis
- Create comprehensive Cyber Survivability Test Plans targeting critical components of the System Under Test (SUT).
- Evaluate the operational mission impacts of cyber deficiencies on U.S. Navy platforms and systems.
- Identify, prevent, mitigate, and recover from system deficiencies in a cyber-threat environment.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Program Offices, the Navy Red Team, and other stakeholders to design and execute effective OT&E.
- Provide technical insights to enhance cyber survivability and mission readiness.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering (technical), or Aeronautical Engineering.
OR
- Minimum two years of DoD cybersecurity experience AND at least two years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Network Engineering
- Programming (e.g., C/C , Python, Bash)
- Systems Test Engineering
- Project Management
- Penetration Testing
Certifications:
- DoDD 8570 IAM/IAT II certification (or ability to obtain within six months of task order award).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in developing and implementing cyber survivability plans and testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and address system deficiencies.
- Familiarity with META frameworks and cyber survivability assessment tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard operational environments.
- Previous experience working with OPTEVFOR or another service Operational Test Agency.
Security Requirements:
- Must possess or be eligible for a TS/TS SCI security clearance.
- Specific security requirements will be detailed in a DD254 provided at the task order level.
