Position Overview

As a Vertical Construction Intern for Treehouse Builders, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of vertical construction projects. The ideal candidate will be a Junior in studying Construction Management with a passion for real estate and homebuilding. This internship will be onsite in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

What You Will Do

• Assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
• Work closely with on-site teams to observe and contribute to the vertical construction process.
• Gain practical experience in tasks such as layout, framing, and structural inspections.
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including plans, specifications, and change orders.
• Support the preparation of project reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Learn and utilize industry-standard construction software for tasks such as project management and design.
• Explore the use of digital tools for data analysis and project documentation.
• Participate in safety meetings and inspections, ensuring compliance with safety protocols on construction sites.
• Engage with diverse teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project managers.
• Participate in team meetings, providing valuable input and actively contributing to project discussions.
• Tackle real-time challenges to develop critical problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with the team to address issues and make informed decisions in a dynamic construction environment.
• Engage in continuous learning opportunities, workshops, and training sessions provided by seasoned professionals.
• Seek mentorship and guidance to enhance your skills in the field of vertical construction.
• Build professional relationships within the construction industry through networking events and interactions with experienced professionals.
• Occasional travel may be necessary as needed
• Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management
• Must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without a reasonable accommodation

Ideally, you'll have

• Junior/Senior studying Construction Management or related field
• General knowledge of real estate and construction principles
• Ability to work onsite in the Denver area

You'll crush it if you have experience with

• Experience with  Excel, SmartSheets, Brix, Word, Powerpoint
• Highly motivated, organized, and determined individual with an eagerness to learn
