What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard / Fabrication Worker position at Core Supply?
Core Supply in East Texas is seeking safety-oriented candidates to work in the Fabrication Yard.
Established in 2010, Core Supply, LLC is a rapidly growing and respected market leader supplying Rebar Fabrication, Post Tension, Wood Products, and Concrete Accessories to satisfied customers in the Construction Industry!
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Core Supply's safety standards
- Safely operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and safety standards
- Operate forklift to move, load, and unload materials
- Operate shearing machine to bend steel reinforcement bars to specific shape and size
- Operate power saw for cutting reinforcing steel bars to specified lengths
- Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean safe manner
- Be punctual and fit for duty
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Fabrication experience a plus
- Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience working outdoors required
- Must be able to work in noisy, dusty, hot, cold, and rainy conditions
- Must be able to work overtime with little notice
- Must have excellent communication skills
