What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Coordinator position at Core Talent Services?
To be successful in the role you will be responsible for assisting with high-volume weekly payroll processing. In this role, you’ll ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with company policies and payroll regulations.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll according to weekly and bi-weekly payroll deadlines, may also include preparing certified payrolls to job sites as needed.
- Process and manage weekly payroll for a large number of employees.
- Review and verify timecards, hours worked, and deductions.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and organized payroll records.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
Keys:
- Previous payroll processing experience & Comfortable handling high volume payroll
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- MUST HAVE experience in processing FULL payroll from start to finish
- Knowledge and understanding of US laws and rules when it comes to the standards of processing payroll, withholding rules, tax remittance, benefit deduction, and garnishment rules
- Proficient in Excel and MS Office
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
