What are the responsibilities and job description for the PreConstruction Manager position at CORE?
CORE is looking for a results-oriented PreConstruction Manager with experience in construction planning, estimating and project management to join our Sarasota Florida team. This fast-paced department aims to provide professional preconstruction and virtual construction services for Commercial, K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare and Municipal projects ranging from $100K-$100M in construction costs.
The PreConstruction Manager will provide comprehensive preconstruction services, including estimating, scheduling, value engineering, risk management, bid solicitation and subcontractor outreach/procurement on multiple large-scale commercial construction projects. This will involve collaboration with owners, architects, preconstruction team members and the Operations team. This individual will research market conditions, historical cost data, price building materials and labor, work on material quantifications and scopes, bid solicitations and schedule planning. He/she will also be expected to provide a detailed review of design plans and specifications on projects for a wide range of institutional clients.
This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.

- Minimum of two years of experience as part of a preconstruction or construction operations team
- Professional degree in construction management or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering, construction technology, architecture, business administration)
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Technology: Proficiency with Assemble, OST, CAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
- Preferred Experience with Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam and Procore, Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
- Willingness to relocate to or near ____(LOCATION)____.
- Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
- Expectations: Attention to detail, excellent communication (written and verbal), strong organizational skills, ability to interact as part of a team
