What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Superintendent position at CORE?
CORE is seeking a Senior Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction on large scale commercial projects in and around Northern Nevada / Reno area. A CORE Senior Superintendent’s role is to ensure whatever is required to facilitate the construction of the project on site from beginning to completion while utilizing CORE’s best practices in safety, quality, schedule and cost while maintaining relationships with both our trade partners and our clients and ensuring operations adhere to standards and requirements. These projects are often for a wide range of institutional clients, including colleges, universities, K-12 districts, municipalities, healthcare systems and more. The projects may range from $100K to over $100 million in construction costs.

The employee’s primary responsibility will be for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to punch-out, including:
- Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practices
- Quality control, ensuring all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected
- Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors
- Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination
- Working with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions
- Reviewing all drawings, specifications and submittals
- Daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates
- OSHA-30 Certified and proficient with Predictive Solutions
- Competent in Procore and able to coach on the subject.
- Assists Warranty for any background information needed for warranty calls.
- Assists our Preconstruction team in reviewing design drawings and providing a constructability and envelope reviews.
- Works well with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions. Provides solutions and value adds to project.
- Establishes and maintains a relationship of trust with Architect, Owner, and trade partners.
- Minimum of 20 years construction experience
- Minimum of 12 years supervisory experience
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Complete and detailed experience with subcontractor and construction sequencing
- Understanding of ASI’s RFI’s and Material Submittals
- Technology: Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project and Procore
- Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
- Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
- Must be willing to travel within the state of Nevada
- OSHA 30
- A valid Driver’s License
